33rd separate mechanized brigade receives battle flag

Now with a battle flag

On the Infantry Day, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi presented the 33rd Separate Mechanized Brigade with a battle flag. The commander of the 33rd Mechanized Brigade, Colonel Dmytro Palisa, received this honorary sign from the President of Ukraine. This event is a recognition of our contribution to repulsing Russian aggression and to the future victory over the eternal enemy of the Ukrainian people.

The 33rd separate mechanized brigade was formed on December 22, 2022, in Zakarpattia. After several months of training and exercises, in May 2023, the newly formed military unit deployed to the area of combat operations.

The brigade joined the battle in the Zaporizhzhia direction and on June 7, 2023, in the area of Mala Tokmachka, joined the counteroffensive of the Defense Forces. Then our fighters destroyed the occupiers near the settlements of Robotyno, Verbove, Orikhiv and Novoprokopivka. In February 2024, the 33rd was transferred to the Donetsk sector, where the brigade took part in heavy fighting near the settlements of Pobeda, Dalne and Dachne. Meanwhile, our rifle battalions fought the enemy near Chasovyi Yar and Klishchiyivka.

At present, the brigade’s fighters continue to defend Ukraine in Donetsk region, near the towns of Bohatyr and Oleksiyivka, putting up heroic resistance to the enemy’s incessant attempts to advance in the East.
